    The Lexington Medical Center of Lexington, South Carolina, teamed up with the Lexington Sertoma Club to host a special seminar at the hospital, which educated and inspired individuals to take an interest and initiative in pursuing hearing health.   • Norfolk Sertoma’s Largest Donation Advances Hearing Research

    The Norfolk Sertoma Club of Norfolk, Virginia, donated $150,000 to Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) to fund a new state of the art temporal bone laboratory. This new lab has enabled both medical professionals and students to research, learn and practice various techniques and procedures pertaining to the brain and hearing health

    The Mansfield Sertoma Club and Delta Zeta Sorority planned a special field trip for some of the special education, Deaf and Hard of Hearing students attending the Mansfield public schools. The field trip took place at the Ohio Senate (photographed) as well as the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio History Museum.

    The LoDo Field of Dreams Sertoma Club hosted its annual Field of Dreams baseball camp for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth in Denver, Colorado. The players and coaches photographed above took part in the two-day event held at the Regency Athletic Complex Baseball Field.

  • Carson Valley Sertoma Scholarships Support Aspiring Students

    The Carson Valley Sertoma Club, of Carson Valley, Nevada, held its annual Book Scholarship banquet to announce and honor its new scholarship recipients of 2016. The Book Scholarship program was started to help support local students attend college.     The Sertoma Club @ the Villages, in Villages, Florida, held its 16th annual baseball camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children between the ages of 7-15. This camp provided young players with the opportunity to learn and play the game of baseball.

    The energetic youthful campers at the Aspen Camp in Snowmass, Colorado, partake in a wide variety of team building and outdoor activities that have been funded by generous donations, and grants from organizations such as Sertoma. Sertoma’s recent grant helped Aspen Camp fund new scholarships and camp activities.

  • Custom Hearing Aid Donation Changes Child’s Life

    Sophia, (pictured with her mother) was diagnosed with moderate-severe permanent hearing loss. In order to hear, and socially grow in school, she would require hearing aids. Due to the cost, she was not able to purchase them, until the Sioux City Noon Sertoma Club provided her with a very special donation.

    Elizabeth Quinley, a three-time award winner of the Sertoma Hard of Hearing or Deaf Scholarship, gives her first hearing test at Missouri State University, in Springfield, Missouri. The scholarship money she received from Sertoma provided her with the books and resources that she needed for her audiology classes, and inspired her to become a lifelong member of Sertoma

    The Kansas School for the Deaf (KSD) located in Olathe, Kansas, was provided with a new digital library to help students learn both American Sign Language (ASL) and English at the same time. The donation was provided by the Kansas City Sertoma Club, of Kansas City, Missouri.
